Welcome to the January 2023 issue of the Metropolitan Airport News. I hope you have enjoyed the holiday season and are ready for all the New Year has to offer. It is certainly a time for reflection and renewal while we get ready to hit the ground running into 2023.
This month’s feature we bring to you is about something old being new again. eVTOL vehicles, while conceptually envisioned and even some brought into reality over the years, are now on the verge of practical implementation in modern cities with zero carbon footprint. Think drones for passengers, or if you are a child of the 60s and 70s, think The Jetsons!
It’s pretty cool when something that seemed so futuristic that it could never happen suddenly is happening within your lifetime. We certainly live in a fantastic time when vision, design, and technology align to bring us life-changing inventions.
There is so much going on at the airports for 2023. Get involved with A New JFK; there, you will find out about all the airport projects that are going on. There are opportunities for companies of every size.
Check-in with Council for Airport Opportunity (CAO) for open employment positions and career fairs, and register with the Metropolitan Airport News job board on our website. Many companies are hiring at all levels and functions. Whether looking for a new career or just entering the workforce, there is no shortage of positions to apply for.
